This super cute and well-decorated spot boasts an ambiance reminiscent of a bustling izakaya, but with the added bonus of being much more spacious. Ramen Nirvana: I had the Shio Paitan ramen, and it was absolute bliss! The broth was incredibly flavorful and authentic, reminding me of the delicious ramen from Japan. Freshness Reigns Supreme: You can truly taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients in every dish. Plus, everything arrives piping hot and ready to devour. Friendly & Attentive Service: The staff is great. They're friendly, attentive, and happy to answer any questions you might have about the menu.

Super cool delicious chicken based ramen. I have been a fan of this ramen restaurant for 5 plus years. It's really unique and has a fun tasty menu. I love chicken ramen and this place does it right. The noodles are a great match for the stock. Thin and springy and the stock flavor is rich and deep. Must get an egg topper too! Most importantly, get the rice and chicken drippings. It's so epically good. White rice? Chicken fat flavor of amazing on top? Decadence done right. Service is always great. The tables are separate or along a combined bar like setting. It's normally very busy so I try to go at odd times so I am not waiting. There is not much space in the restaurant for eating or waiting so timing is key. Bathroom is on the top floor, clean and convienent. The decor is fun and modern even though it's been open for a while now. No parking really. I have always walked there from a garage in the area or from the metro. Many a nights watching the capitals and hitting up this spot first. Their desserts are good too and their drinks are delicious. The donut is a meh for me but the sweet tea? I would drink it endlessly. So much sugar. So much joy. Sweet tea done right!

Such a cute, quirky spot. A great place to meet with friends and enjoy good food. I had the Shoyu Paitan which tasted good, but wasn't my vibe. The garnish was beautiful. Our server also gave us good recommendations. I also tasted the sake which was great. My boyfriend ordered the Nashville fried chicken which he loved (also very filling). This is a place he frequents.

bantam king holds steady as the 2nd best ramen spot in the city (the number one is daikaya, owned by the same group so I can say that). Stopped in with a friend and bantam king is still CONSISTENTLY great after all of these years. Things I enjoyed: - Spicy Miso ramen with an extra spice bomb and a nitamago egg.,,there's no other way to go. Broth, noodles, flavor...you can't go wrong. - the Gyoza...SO GOOD! 4 small pieces that were a delicious appetizer! - the fried chicken plate was pretty good as well with a ton of flavor. Split the plate with my friend, which is more food than we needed; but it was worth it) - rarely a wait, even on a Friday evening - food comes out pretty quickly - service is always great! It's been a few years since I'd been back to bantam king but when my friend suggested...I JUMPED at the chance. Still good food, still good price point, still one of the best ramen spots in the city (don't debate me...I've tried them all)

Bantam King is amazing! It's been on my bucket list because ramen and fried chicken, hello??? Seems like a great combination. I went here after Awesome Con and it was pretty busy! It's conveniently right by the Chinatown Metro Stop (Red / Green / Yellow line) and is right by Capital One Arena. The staff are super nice and there's a fairly simplistic (and mostly halal) menu. The decor inside is super cute, some walls have manga on them, some have Japanese (hiragana) lessons, as well as some walls having cafeteria trays as decor. They also leave a full water pitcher for you at the table, which is super convenient. There's plenty of options that will make your stomach grumble and your mouth drool while reading them. My boyfriend isn't too much into ramen, but loves to sip the broth. -------------------------------------------------------- What we ordered: - Gyoza - Snow Curry Chicken (comes with chicken drippings rice) - Shoyu Paitan Ramen -------------------------------------------------------- The gyoza was surprisingly super tasty! I was worried about the spice level of this, but it had amazing umami/ savory flavor and an excellent kick. The snow curry chicken was the real winner here. It had a nice spice blend, was sooo juicy and savory, and an amazing crunch. The chicken drippings rice was an excellent compliment to eat with some of the bites too. The Shoyu Paitan Ramen is also fantastic, my favorite parts were the egg (nitamago) as well as the broth. I believe the broth is simmered (with halal chicken) for at least 6 hours, if I read the menu correctly. The noodles are more like the egg noodles, but the toppings were super tasty (they had some chili threads that had a nice small kick!). Come check out Bantam King when you get the chance!

What a unique restaurant. It's not a typical Asian restaurant. I think it's my first time seeing a restaurant who has ramen and chicken as main offerings. So I debated. Should I get chicken or ramen? It was a tough decision. My bf ordered curry snow chicken. I ordered tan tan men. This place has halal menu items which is cool. I wish they allowed more customization though- my tan tan men came with "impossible" meat but i wish I had been able to order it with real ground pork. However it was delicious. I love it. I finished the soup. The curry chicken was so original and unique. I highly recommend it. The service was friendly and prompt. Will be back for sure.

Must haves - onsen eggs with drippings The snow curry plate was sweet and spicy at the same time with the creamy texture. The Nashville chicken plate remains my favorite classic. They had a few specials that I wasn't able to try this time but will be coming back for.

This is one of my fave Ramen spots (I only have TWO). The service is excellent and the Shio Ramen and Gyoza are delicious! There's plenty of seating and the decor is so cute. Love the Godzilla in the window. I highly recommend!
